FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 1, 2019
(Toronto, Ontario) Chris R. Moynes, Managing Director of One Sports Group, is pleased to announce the latest addition to the team, Mr. Grant Clitsome.
The lack of programs and support for professional athletes moving into the latter years of their careers led the firm to commit to this very important initiative. To address this need, ONE Sports is now launching their After The Game program to address the unique challenges that professional athletes face when their athletic playing days and careers come to an end. The platform aims to proactively engage athletes in preparation for life After The Game and to provide them with the necessary tools for a successful transition.
Grant Clitsome has been named Director of Career Transition for this exciting and necessary program. As a former professional athlete himself, Grant has first-hand experience with the anxiety and uncertainty surrounding retirement from the Game. Combining his personal experience, education and unique skill set with a team of experts, the program will put together customized transition plans based on each athlete and their specific needs.
Prior to joining One Sports, Grant enjoyed an eight year professional hockey career, playing for the Columbus Blue Jackets and Winnipeg Jets. Grant holds a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and is currently completing his MBA with Queen’s University. Grant is also a certified sommelier and owner of an artisanal cidery.
One Sports, focuses solely on the unique financial needs of professional athletes and entertainers. Currently serving over 100 hockey families, One Sports + Entertainment Group provides services in the areas of wealth management, private banking, insurance, legacy planning, and philanthropy.
